The SG One is part of a series of PC based test instruments that use the soundcard to provide free audio test tools for the hobbyists, students and engineers. When used together with the Spectrum Analyzer, Wavefile analyzer and PC oscilloscope programs you may test, troubleshoot and quantify experimental results of projects or just test your soundcard capabilities with it. The limitations are base mostly on the soundcard itself so a $500 soundcard will give stellar results compared to a $20 stock soundcard. Even the $20 variety will provide much usefulness with these free programs. I hope you enjoy using this as much as I did writing it. The SG One replaces the SG-2102a with the following improvements: Frequency accuracy is now 0.1 Hz, extended play range 1 Hz to 96 kHz, 0 to -200 dB attenuation range, 11025-192000 samplerate range, AM-FM-DSB are new modes, arbitrary waveform panel, enhanced playlist file manager, mini remote with always-on-top feature, user phase for the right channel is adjustable and swept level and phase not just swept frequency mode.
